Gosberton Men’s Project Cafe

The Gosberton Men’s Project Café, held at the Gosberton Baptist Church, has become a thriving hub for local men from various villages including Donington, Pinchbeck, and Holbeach. Although the group isn’t affiliated with the church, they are warmly welcomed and have access to the kitchen and main room facilities. The group meets on Monday evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm for board games and social chats, and on Thursday afternoons from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm for tabletop project work. The men, aged between 25 and 85, bring a wealth of skills such as welding, wood crafting, and resin making. The project has facilitated workshops, including a resin-making session led by Julien and a 3D printing demonstration by Anna from Cutters For Clay, resulting in the creation of blue salamanders now displayed in several homes. The group has quickly bonded, providing a strong support network where members, like the youngest participant Josh, have gained confidence and socialisation skills. The café has become a place where friendships flourish, and members often find it hard to leave after their sessions, highlighting the warmth and camaraderie within the group.
