About Tonic Health
South Holland Health and Wellbeing Charity
Founded by Michael Morris in 2016 and formally registered with the Charity Commission, we are a dedicated health and wellbeing charity. Our mission is to provide comprehensive community support to individuals in South Holland, Boston, and the surrounding areas. As a local organisation, we possess an in-depth understanding of the unique needs of our community. We actively collaborate with both the community and statutory services, aiming to bridge the significant 'gaps' in support whenever necessary.
Our services are designed to assist people from all walks of life, with a particular focus on those who find themselves in a precarious position: not deemed 'well' enough to manage independently in society, yet not 'ill' enough to qualify for statutory support. To address these needs, we offer a wide range of initiatives, primarily through peer-led groups and "sector-specific" activities. These efforts are targeted at various issues, including enhancing general wellbeing, providing support for individuals with early-onset dementia, and operating youth clubs. A substantial number of our project support staff and volunteers bring their own lived experiences to their roles, positioning us as a highly effective provider of non-clinical support for those facing challenges.
- Vision: “creating healthy, supported local communities together”
- Mission: “improving the physical and mental health and wellbeing of South Lincolnshire’s communities through: bringing people together; collaborative work and partnerships; and shared spaces.”
- Values: curious, open to new ideas, innovative, collaboration, responsive, grateful.
