In collaboration with Boston Borough Council and Boston Police, Tonic Health are pleased to announce the addition of the Boston Youth Hub at Pescod Hall to their offer. The aim is to provide the young people of Boston a free, safe space to attend after school, weekends and during the school holidays, rather than just being on the streets.
The cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks and light snacks, there will be a coffee lounge area, comfy seating booths, a pool table, large TV, games consoles and a dart board, as well as a working space - these all came from the consultation feedback from over 100 young people when asked what they wanted a youth hub to look like.
We aim to involve the young people of Boston at every stage - hoping to establish a youth council which will not only discuss ideas for the youth hub, but also be a voice at wider town meetings.
We have been blessed with some small financial support from the Richard Lake High Sheriff Fund, managed by Lincolnshire Community Foundation, and via the Platform Housing Community Chest, plus the kind generosity of local tradespeople who have provided invaluable support in the regeneration of the beautiful Grade 2 listed building that is Pescod Hall.
We hope to make the young people of Boston, and the building, proud!
